BudgetLens may support optional financial data imports only when users choose to enable them. This access is driven directly by your choosing to connect these tools:

• Apple FinanceKit / Apple Wallet: Permits eligible device ecosystems to securely bridge transaction components directly into your device database after explicit user authorization and Apple system entitlements check out.
• Google Wallet Integration: Our planned platform pipeline is being designed to interact with allowed Google Wallet transaction points to read valid ledger profiles where available and permitted.
• Import Properties: Collected pieces may include execution totals, date stamps, merchant descriptors, asset currencies, account indices, tracking flags, and internal transaction identifiers.

3. Receipt Scanning And OCR

To reduce typing bottlenecks, BudgetLens lets you submit receipt images or safe base64 frame payloads to our servers for scanning processing workflows:

• OCR Technology: BudgetLens may utilize advanced processing systems, including the Google Cloud Vision OCR framework, to dynamically locate transaction text layers.
• Extracted Elements: The parser seeks out structural values like the merchant name, date markers, overall totals, and exact tax line items.

4. How We Use Information

We process your data to keep your logs updated and construct advanced analytics views:

• To instantly create, manage, and render transaction items.
• To compile spending graphs, dynamic category alerts, tax rate trackers, and periodic balance trends.
• To analyze images and automatically pre-fill transaction draft structures.
• To convert finalized shopping lists into permanent entry assets securely.
• To sync ledger records across your active family, roommate, or split group pools.
• To protect transaction logs from double-saving errors or duplicate list postings.
• To create clean system backup files, including manual CSV database exports.
• To protect system security, run authentication portals, and provide help desk logs.

5. How We Share Information

We never monetize your spending logs with marketing networks or advertising platforms. Information is distributed strictly to the infrastructure layers defined here:

• Infrastructure Providers: Information interacts with strategic processing utilities required to deliver the core app. These include secure cloud server infrastructure providers, system data engines, authentication services, automated transactional email hosts, advanced OCR services, and diagnostic tracking grids.
• Legal and Protection Requirements: Data may be turned over if demanded by legal process, subpoena compliance, framework fraud checks, system stability reviews, or to defend our user community.

6. Group And Shared Expense Privacy

When you sign up for or deploy a shared team space inside BudgetLens, certain entry criteria are visible to other members inside that network folder. This visibility includes shared ledger entries, shared list additions, member check-off marks, and basic log timestamps.

7. Data Storage And Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards to protect user data. Your financial entries live within protected backend cloud systems and distinct cloud databases. All critical administrative API tokens and external integration credentials are managed securely on the backend layer, completely isolated from user-end app packages.

No computer server can claim impenetrable protection, but BudgetLens is intentionally built to minimize unnecessary data footprints to reduce data risk exposure.

8. Data Retention

BudgetLens keeps your user entries active for as long as your registered account exists or to deliver functional features. You can remove records, lists, group networks, or wipe your entire presence through your account settings panel. Residual system cache parameters or backup snapshots may remain temporarily in cold storage arrays to protect operational business records or resolve structural compliance rules.

9. User Choices And Controls

You retain comprehensive authority over your workspace assets:

• You can append, change, or remove ledger lines at any time.
• You can evaluate, override, or drop OCR drafts before they log.
• You control your participation choices inside group channels or shopping cards.
• You can instantly run and download absolute structural data exports as flat CSV grids.
• You can close or clear optional platform connection pipelines like Apple Wallet or Google Wallet configurations inside your standard operating system dashboard.

10. Children’s Privacy

BudgetLens is intended for general audiences and is not directed at or designed for children under 13. We do not gather personal identities from minors. If we discover a profile was created by a minor, our operations team will execute purging tasks to eliminate those records instantly.

11. International Users

Data segments may be sent, handled, or preserved in servers outside your home territory where BudgetLens or our essential infrastructure providers handle system processes. Data protection criteria in these areas may operate under shifting frameworks compared to your native legal jurisdiction.

12. Changes To This Policy

We will update this Privacy Policy over time to mirror platform optimizations or updated security standards. We will alert users to modifications by updating the baseline "Effective Date" at the top of this article.
